Corwin Belser | PPJ Week 8: Polish


WEEKLY NARRATIVE

This week was the continuation of implementing "nice-to-have" features, and more behavior tweaking.  


CONTENT WITH HOURS

  • Meetings (2 hours)
  • Builds of game (2 hours)
  • Screenie displaying different gifs on its screen (1 hour)
  • Verified all doors are working (1.5 hours)
    • Fixed script references not set up correctly (1 hour)
    • Missing prompts on some double doors (.5 hours)
  • Displaying story gifs on monitors (2 hours)
  • Story moved from shrine to memento rooms (1.5 hours)
  • Get Scanner model hooked up in game (2 hours)
  • Bug Fixes: (1 hour)
    • Added missing critical prefabs to scenes (1 hour)
  • Code Review (2 hours)

POSITIVE OUTCOMES

  • We're getting a level of polish to the game
  • Scanner is finally in!

NEGATIVE OUTCOMES

  • Art has become the bottleneck, slowing down implementing models as they aren't in Perforce, or aren't textured


NEXT TASKS

  • Continue swapping placeholder for modeled assets
  • Find more areas that can be polished up
    • Options menu
