WEEKLY NARRATIVE
I need a cat...
"Previously on Rem"
More bugs were squashed
Less bugs reincarnated and but still squashed
More maps were set up.
Old maps were broken and re-setup.
Probuild was added to the game to make spiral stairs and ghetto hallways (Wohoo)
Also, loading the game now works
CONTENT WITH HOURS
- 2 hour - meeting
- 13 hours - Merging levels/populating levels/Fixing them
- 3 hours - Ghetto hallways and spiral staircase
- 1 hour - Fixing the old levels that were imported as 0.01 instead of 1.
- 1 hour - Loading the game and saving the game in major locations (I did it by accident, was not my task)
WORKFLOW
Yea, not that many images from me anymore.
Positive outcome
- Probuild is helpfullish
Negative outcome
- Having to think on what to write for the PostMortem was depressing
PostMortem
My own review : 8/10
- All tasks completed on time
- Debugging as soon as possible
- Taking tasks before assigned
- Doing more than needed.
- Super toxic to members of the team that went semi MIA for few hours while I was working
- I now have a mental timeline of, if nothing happened until x, don't expect it until y.
- I know I can do more than I am doing yet I am not.
Things that went right
- Task were completed.
- Bugs were squashed
- Levels were made harder because I said it was too easy and showed them how to make it harder.
Things that went wrong
- Design team said that a lot of stuff was out of scope.
- Communication with the entire team was weird because of work hours (Programming team was afternoonish while art was late nights)
- We needed a QA since week one. I did pitch this idea since week 1.
Lessons learned
- If you want to get stuff done, assign them to people that will get them done way before the deadline.
- If someone doesn't do that consistently then ask what are their impediments.
- If they are the same or close to yours, understandable. If barely any, give them less work because you expect less.
- Toxicity and negativity from my part comes from classifying groupmates for how much they output.
Next Tasks
Bug fixes, "Juice it up"
Total hours: 20 hours
