Daniel Shalala | Week 3: Memento moray

WEEKLY NARRATIVE

With this week we have almost completely finished off the major and minor story elements which is wonderful news. Along with this we linked the mementos to the powers and given them story significance. We had several meetings this week although I was only able to go to two of them, the story meeting and the team meeting. Among all of the things that have happened this week I think the fine tuning of the story and linking the mementos to the story is one of the most important milestones. I say this because we needed the story to be decided before we could move on to the level design. Considering that out game is heavily story based, this was a necessary tax on time, and I think that we will reap the benefits of spending the time fine tuning it. I helped out when I could but this week I felt that I wasn't able to give my all.

CONTENT WITH HOURS

  • Team meeting (2 hours)
  • Story group meeting  (1.5 hours)
  • Story ideas (2 hours)

WORKFLOW EXAMPLES

POSITIVE OUTCOMES

  • Our story is fully decided and flushed out.
  • Story team communication is excellent.
  • Mementos are decided upon
  • G.D.D. updated

NEGATIVE OUTCOMES

  • I was very out of it this week and this led to a loss of productivity.

NEXT TASKS

The next task is to work together with both Matts on level design as well as anything that I am needed to do. I also need to re evaluate how I am working on projects so that I am not caught off guard by other classes
