WEEKLY NARRATIVE
This week was all about the set-up, getting people's names, info and where they want to work. After that the team had a second meeting where we discussed revamping "Remembrance". It was suppose to be a critical analysis, but that quickly broke away with everyone's enthusiasm (myself included). I presented some big changes to the game-play and overall look of the environment (Think if Super Mario 64 smashed into Evil Within 2).
The slanted building in the picture below is kind of what I was thinking. With bits of it blown off and frozen mid air, since this is within Rem's own mind. This quarter I'm planning on being a full-time modeler, with that in mind their was little for me to do this week.
Some of the team also met the day after to discuss Story and Design, I unfortunately was unable to attend.
CONTENT WITH HOURS
- Critical analysis meeting (2 1/2 hours)
- Blog (3/4 hour)
WORKFLOW EXAMPLES
POSITIVE OUTCOMES
- I'm happy about the way things are headed, there is a lot we can do with the different environment scenarios (opening doors of her mind).
- Seems like story should be easier to flesh out now with a complete overhaul.
- I should not be short on work the coming weeks.
NEGATIVE OUTCOMES
- I'm not happy about the way we go about our group discussion. People consistently cut others off like they were in elementary school. Multiple times over 4 people were talking at the same time during the meeting.
NEXT TASKS
I'm hoping this week coming up that I have orthos to work off of or I'll just start spitting assets out myself. Will probably attend art team's meetings when I can to see what they are looking for beyond concept.
TOTAL HOURS LOGGED THIS WEEK: 3 1/4 hours
