Mike Moore | PPJ Week 1: Off to the races!




WEEKLY NARRATIVE

Super happy that Remembrance was chosen to move forward. I am very excited for such a large dev group. We should be able to accomplish quite a bit due to the sheer size of the class. We initially started by doing a merger meeting where we discussed workflow and team organization. We then had a critique for the game so the new developers could give the team a new perspective on the game. The next meeting was focused on a story and background narrative to breath life into the game. Tomorrow I will be meeting with the design team as well as the management team. 

CONTENT WITH HOURS

  • Preliminary team meeting (3 hours)
  • Contact documentation, access, gant setup, hack n plan fam (2 hours)
  • Story dev meeting (4 hours)

No examples, all organization

POSITIVE OUTCOMES

  • Having so many people in the upper management will allow us to also get our hands dirty in specialized dev cells. 
  • We do not lack personnel in any dev cell (prog, art, ect.)
  • Enough people to distribute many tasks at once

NEGATIVE OUTCOMES

  • So many people makes it hard to have meetings where the whole team can be present.
  • Merging everyone into a unified dev team and having everyone feel at home isn't the smoothest transition.


NEXT TASKS

Level design and management meeting scheduled for tomorrow.
