Sierra Dreisbach | Week 4 | GO BIRDS

WEEKLY NARRATIVE

Just kidding, I don't really care about the super bowl that much, but I am watching it right now, because this a very important night for the city of Philadelphia after all.

This week, I was able to attend a meeting for a solid 45 minutes before I had to go to work. It was said that all of the concept work should be done by next class. However, with my schedule, that seemed impossible to me. I'm working on some stuff right now, trying to get as much done as I can, but it seems like some stuff will have to carry into next week. However, I am about to withdraw from one of my classes, so that means I will have A TON more free time to work on this class. I am very excited about this, because I am so frustrated with how little time I have to help with anything. If not done tomorrow, all concepts should be done by the end of this week at least.

I'm also taking my concepts in a new direction. A more low poly style to fit the style of the game more. So I'm excited to see how they turn out. Objects are being modeled, and are ready for texturing, that should begin this week as well.

CONTENT WITH HOURS

  • Meeting (45 minutes)
  • Concept Art (Working on it right now so it's hard to say, prob several hours at least... let's say 5-6)

WORKFLOW EXAMPLES

(A shot of what I am currently working on in Illustrator as I type this PPJ that is due by 10 PM)

POSITIVE OUTCOMES

  • New direction with concept art
  • More time for me to work on stuff for this class (coming soon)
  • Models are looking good and are ready for texturing.

NEGATIVE OUTCOMES

  • Yes we are behind right now, but I don't see this being a recurring problem.
  • Something I need to work on is my documentation. It's something that slips my mind. However, I realize that is a necessary part of communication on a team and is just something that needs to get done.

NEXT TASKS

  •  Finish up concept art, move on to texturing objects.

TOTAL HOURS LOGGED THIS WEEK: Probably going to be like 7 hours
